The Food Co-op
Fresh Organic and Local Food since 1975
With the transition to remote learning on 11/18, the Food Co-op has closed for the remainder of the Fall 2020 semester. We thank you for your ongoing support and look forward to serving you again in the Spring.
The Food Co-Op is a student-run organic grocery store and café that’s operated on campus in some form or another since 1975. We only buy our products from small companies and we try to buy as local as we can.
Our grocery section inventory is not currently listed on the menu because we have too many things to list, so you’ll just have to come in to see our selection. Some items include: Halo Top, Oatly Ice Cream, Granola, Edamame, Primal Vegan Strips, Vegan burritos, and more. We’re always looking for ways to expand our grocery section to support our students’ needs, so let us know what you’d like us to carry and we’ll see if it’s possible!
Fall 2020 Updates:
- Beginning this fall, the Food Co-op is able to accept credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and NFC mobile payments [Google/Apple/Samsung Pay]) at checkout.
- Due to COVID-19, the Food Co-op will be operating under a strictly to-go business model. We’ve made sure to maintain our focus on sustainable and healthy eating practices — as such, all of our takeaway containers and cutlery are 100% certified biodegradable and compostable. While this is a more expensive business model, the safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us.
- While we will begin the year with pre-made, prix fixe meals, we are working hard to allow you to customize your specific meal options while still spending a minimal amount of time in line.
