Accessibility Liaison

The Accessibility Liaison serves as a central resource within the Student Association, supporting student clubs and organizations in fostering greater accessibility and inclusion. This position is not a policy-making role but rather a connector and facilitator.

The Accessibility Liaison’s responsibilities are as follows:

  • Support clubs in accessibility efforts
  • Promote accessibility awareness
  • Act as an accessibility contact within the SA
  • Provide resource guidance
  • Stay informed on campus accessibility resources

What this role does not do:

  • Does not serve as the final authority on accessibility
  • Does not replace the campus accessibility offices

The Accessibility Liaison is not an official authority on accessibility standards or accommodations. This role is intended to help connect students with existing university resources. This role should not be mistaken for legal advice or determining, endorsement, or confirmation of ADA compliance or negligence. Any guidance provided by the Liaison should not be considered a formal assessment or guarantee of accessibility compliance. The Student Association of Binghamton University, Inc. will not be held liable to any accessibility efforts made by the Accessibility Liaison.
